I first met Victoria during her weekly Learn to Skate classes at Laverton Skate Centre roughly 7 years ago. When I first attended her lessons I was really nervous, having never taken a skating class before. However as soon as the class began Victoria was able to control a room full of energy filled children with great ease. She was always able to explain difficult steps and concepts in a slow and patient manner. It was due to her teaching methods that I was able to understand and perform a new skill in a quick time frame with accuracy and precision. After a few years of group skate classes, Victoria kindly allowed me to start private figure lessons with her, a discipline she introduced me to. She was able to match the right discipline of skating to my interests, a style of skating I still enjoy very much today. Victoria is a willing and dedicated coach with all her students, tailoring her teaching methods to each individual student. It was through Victoria’s determination, persistence and immense skill set that I was able to achieve all that I have in skating, including second place in an elementary skating completion for figures. I couldn’t think of a more knowledgeable and kind hearted coach than Victoria. With her as your coach you are sure to achieve all your skating goals and more. Not only is Victoria a great coach but a wonderful person as well.
